Your Epson T50 is an older model, but official drivers are available. The Epson Stylus Photo T50 driver version 6.62 is confirmed to work with Windows 11 and Windows 10 (both 64-bit and 32-bit).

You connect the T50 via USB, run the program, enter a specific “adjustment mode” key combination on the printer, and click “Waste ink pad counter” → “Reset.” Within seconds, the error clears. The printer works again for thousands more pages.

The easiest long-term solution is to bypass the internal pads entirely. You can pull the internal waste ink tube out through a small hatch at the back of the printer and extend it into an external plastic bottle. All future waste ink will drain safely into the bottle, which you can easily empty when full. Troubleshooting Common Resetter Errors Locate and click on Waste Ink Pad Counter

An adjustment program resets this counter back to zero, effectively "clearing" the error and allowing you to resume printing. While the physical pad itself may not be completely full, resetting the counter is a standard procedure to re-enable the printer's functions.

The program will prompt you to turn off the printer. Turn it off, then turn it back on. Important Warnings and Tips
